In October, the Chairman of ASUS, Jonney Shih had said that the company intends to bring the Microsoft HoloLens smart glasses. Jonney also had reportedly been in talks with officials at Microsoft, and Microsoft did not mind if there are other manufacturers who want to manufacture their own versions HoloLens.
Now the news about the devices that will be presented HoloLens ASUS reappear. Reputable companies from Taiwan have reportedly been confirmed to be the HoloLens besutannya who will attend next year. Jerry Shen, CEO of ASUS, said on Wednesday that ASUS is currently under development HoloLens device.
"HoloLens device made by ASUS will be available next year," said Jerry Shen. He also added that as an Augmented Reality (AR), HoloLens capable of projecting virtual objects around and looks like real users, as Google Glass that can display notifications. ASUS believes that the AR would be more useful than the headset Virtual Reality (VR).
Keep in mind, HoloLens devices that exist today have a pretty fantastic price, which is around USD 3000. However, through discussions with Microsoft, Jonney Shih wants HoloLens ASUS delivers devices with a more affordable price.
