Facebook Fly Drone Internet Before the End of 2015

Facebook Terbangkan Drone Internet Sebelum Akhir 2015

CALIFORNIA - social media giant Facebook is planning to fly unmanned aircraft or drones that functioned as a tool of internet service providers.

Facebook engineer who led the project, Jay Parikh, said that the scheme is still in its early stages.

"These planes have not flown, but is expected to be in the air before the end of the year," said Parikh.

He said Facebook's ambition to connect people to the Internet because the data showed 75 percent of the world's population can not access the internet.

Drone Facebook named Aquila 1 made in Somerset, England, and sent to a secret location to be tested.

Google Scheme

Drone wing span is longer than the Boeing 737 and "looks completely different" because it does not have room for passengers or pilots.

Facebook wants unmanned aircraft can fly continuously for three months, which is not an easy challenge because the current longest record only two weeks.

The plan Internet services simultaneously sent by the network that airs some drones simultaneously in space.

In addition to Facebook, Google also has a similar scheme with the internet service that comes from the balloons.
