Microsoft Build Data Center "Safe" in Germany

Accommodate the desires of their customers' data center that is "safe", away from the hands of the US government, Microsoft called to build a new data center in Germany. This new data center will be operated by a person they trust in the country. Later, the data center will be operated in accordance with existing regulations in Germany.

This new data center will be used to run some services are owned by Microsoft, including Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics CRM Online. Companies from Germany, T-Systems, is believed by Microsoft to handle this new data center. Microsoft has built two data centers, namely in Frankfurt and Magdeburg. The second data center will be connected by special private lane to avoid any leak of data in the event of data transfer.

Based on what Microsoft described, with this scheme, they are not authorized to access the data in the data center even if asked to do so by the United States government. Microsoft had to ask for permission in advance to the owner of the data before accessing the data in a data center in Germany. When access Microsoft also remains to be under the supervision of the relevant parties.

Microsoft's move to build a data center in Germany is the impact of the demands of their customers in Europe. Some of their customers in Europe worry that if they use Microsoft services, the US government will be able to access their data easily. Data center more "safe" in Germany is expected to be the answer to the request.
