10 How to Speed WiFi connection

WiFi wireless connection is poor can make people feel depressed. Especially when the Internet has become part of everyday life, ranging from entertainment to about the job.

However you may not need to panic if the WiFi connection in the house suddenly blocked. The first step that must be done is to check the router you use. Because the starting position until the router settings will affect whether or not a strong WiFi signal.

When checking your router, make sure you try these 10 simple steps

1. Check the position of the router
Checking the router positions seem trivial, but the effect could be huge. Router works transmit signals in all directions. Therefore, you should put the router in the center of the room.
When the router is placed next to a window, then no signal is sent to the outside. This would make WiFi is useless and does not reach all parts of the room.

2. Do not put on the floor
Place the router in a high place, such as a table or dresser. A higher position will benefit because the router is designed to send a signal to the bottom. In addition, the floor material containing cement, concrete and metal that is impenetrable by WiFi signal.

3. Place your router in a special place
WiFi signal would be reflected more strongly in the room where you keep the router. On that basis, we recommend that you put the router in the room that often you occupy when using the internet.

4. Select the open
There are many materials that can absorb the signal router and reduces its performance. To maintain optimum signal performance, you should not put the router in between the large-sized furniture and walls, or in the closet. Choose a free position crush and make the router can be seen from anywhere.

5. Keep away from other electronic
Keep your router from other electronic devices, such as microwaves, cordless phones, and TVs. Any device that generates an electromagnetic signal could disrupt and weaken the performance of the WiFi signal.

6. Adjust the antenna to stand
Set the router's antenna is in a vertical position. This position will make the signal emitted horizontally so that the WiFi signal more easily reach all parts of the room.

7.  Check the signal strength
There are a number of applications, such as Cloudcheck or Amped that can be used for this purpose. When checking the signal, you can map out which parts are receiving strong signals and which are receiving a weak signal.

8. Set the router software
You can also speed up the WiFi connection by entering certain settings in the software router. Access to this software can be opened via a dedicated IP. You can check at the bottom of the router or the instructions supplied in the crib.

Upon entry into the settings menu, change the router's channel frequency. Usually there are 14 channels to choose from. Best Channel usually are 1, 6, and 11. The channel tends to be minimal disruption because rarely intersect with the channel used by others.

In addition to setting the channel, check for firmware updates. Usually the router maker will issue a firmware update to improve the performance of the device.

9. Perform speed test
Do a speed test to find out where your connection problem. First try to do it with a WiFi connection, and then do the same thing using a wired connection. If both are equally bad, the problem is on your internet service provider.

10. Buy a new router
This is a last resort. When all have been tried and you've made sure the problem does not come from an internet service provider, buy a new router.
