CALIFORNIA - officially expanded Mozilla browser to the Apple platform. If you have previously been available on Android devices, Firefox has now officially arrived in iOS.
According to Phone Arena, Friday (13/11/2015), the presence of this great browser in iOS occur after beta testing for months. But the absence of Firefox as a major browser on the Apple App Store could be the big question.
Why now Firefox is present in iOS? Previously, Apple does not allow third-party browsers in the App Store if it will not use Apple's WebKit engine.
Mozilla thousand affection for that use in-house Gecko engine of his own. That is, the developer wedged in the option of using the WebKit or forget their ambition get in the App Store with a lucrative market.
Mozilla took the more profitable option. As a result, users iOS 8.2 or newer iOS will be able to adopt Firefox in the device for free.
