Weapons Prepared for Death Ray Ward Drone Attacks
LAS VEGAS - The latest technology could be the answer to the growing threat of drones, a deadly form of light weapons (death ray), which uses radio waves to deactivate the drone from a distance of up to one mile away.
This system has been exhibited in Las Vegas, United States (US) amid concerns over the threat of a strike unmanned vehicles (drones). Using high-powered radio waves to deactivate drones, effectively blocking communication and eliminate them from the air.
"If I can see it, I could kill him," said Rick Sondag, executive vice president of Liteye Systems, which sells the device, and debuted it at the exhibition Commercial Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in Las Vegas this week, as reported by Guardian Wednesday (10/07/2015).
Liteye, based in Colorado, is a distributor in the US and Canada for this device by three producers: Enterprise, Chess Systems, and Blighter.
Sondaq hopes to sell these systems for airports and other places where national security is an important issue.
"This system can be used in remote areas or towns to prevent the UAV used for terrorist attacks, espionage or other unwanted activities on sites with critical infrastructure," according to the company.
