NASA is recommended Cooperating with China

NASA Disarankan Bekerjasama dengan China

WASHINGTON - The government of the United States (US) should lift the ban for its space agency (NASA) to cooperate with China. This is done in order not to miss in a variety of new programs in space.

Since 2011, the US Congress banned the NASA partnership with China due to human rights conditions in the communist country and to protect the national security of the country.

International Astronautical Congress in the conference recently attended by heads of space agencies from around the world, NASA chief Charles Bolden expressed confidence that the ban is only temporary.

"I believe this ban is temporary because otherwise, in the future we may be only a spectator anyone ambitions to send humans into space will partner with anyone who is able to do so," said Bolden.

China is not included in the 15 countries the owner and operator of the International Space Station, a research lab, located approximately 400 kilometers above the Earth. China welcomes comments that Bolden.

"Obviously, we hope that this ban period will be shortened. China had no problem in the policy to partner with any space agency," said Xu dazhe of the China National Space Agency (CNSA)

China is the only country other than the US and Russia have been able to send humans into space. China is also developing its own space station, though it is still the prototype stage, and has launched a number of planes to the moon.

Xu said his country was preparing to send another mission to the moon to take samples 2017. China, he said, is also looking for partners for a mission trip to the far edge of the Earth's moon by 2019.

At NASA, the agency is developing a larger rocket and capsule charged that could carry astronauts to the planet Mars.

Cooperation with China can start with simple projects, for example, set the anchoring system (docking) aircraft-spacecraft, space agency chief said the EU Johann-Dietrich Woerner.

"The important thing is, not to be competitive. We all must work together to overcome various kinds of obstacles in this joint project," said Woerner.
